BEGIN:VCALENDAR PRODID:-//Microsoft Corporation//Outlook 12.0 MIMEDIR//EN VERSION:2.0 METHOD:PUBLISH X-MS-OLK-FORCEINSPECTOROPEN:TRUE BEGIN:VEVENT CLASS:PUBLIC CREATED:20191213T012301Z DESCRIPTION: Grand Lake Festivals is excited to present the 2019 Jana JaeFiddle Camp & Music Fest, August 30, 31 & September 1 with free eveningevents at Snider’s Camp, and daytime small group instruction at the Grove CivicCenter, 18th & Main, Grove OK. Entertainment by groups and participants takes place throughout theweekend, and spectators are welcome to come and enjoy without charge.  Not just for fiddles -- violin, viola, cello, mandolin,guitar, bass and other string and rhythm instruments are included, and theworkshop is open to participants regardless of age or prior experience.  Jim Garling, JackBoydstun, and Bob Cross will teach guitar the entire weekend, suchfun!  Other focus groups now include mandolin with Russ Weeks,cello with Judy Jones, bass with Rosie Gorell, spoons with Shirley Adams, tabladrums with David Karnes, more!  Outstanding instructors will coachall age groups, all levels of ability and varied musical styles.  With over 20 qualified instructors,participants are grouped with peers and musicians of similar age andinterest.  This is a fun-filled weekendof learning, enjoying great entertainment and jamming with friends.Friday evening August 30 the public is invited to thekick-off party and BBQ Dinner at Snider’s Camp catered by Dr. John’s BBQ, plusentertainment by the popular new group Contraband, Jana Jae and Friends, andFestival Fiddlers, followed by an open stage for groups.  The event returns to Snider’s Camp onSaturday evening for a delicious fish fry by Dr John, entertainment, and a funAmateur Fiddle Contest.   Bring your lawnchairs and enjoy the lakeside dinners and entertainment, free to the public(food $10 plate). Saturday and Sunday at the Civic Center, the noon meal willbe catered by Dr. John’s BBQ ($7 a plate).
