Cherokee National Research Center

Cherokee National Research Center
Cherokee Springs Plaza - 3377 Cherokee Springs Rd
Tahlequah, OK 74464

The Cherokee National Research Center is a state-of-the-art facility that is home to a collection of thousands of Cherokee artifacts and archives formerly housed at the Cherokee Heritage Center. We are committed to honoring the legacy of the Cherokee Heritage Center, who have been incredible stewards of this collection since 1967.

In addition to protecting and preserving Cherokee assets, the center provides access to archival materials, a research library, and genealogical services to assist in family history research. Artifacts, documents and other materials are available to view in person by request, and the center is dedicated to digitizing the collection for greater accessibility.

Admission to our library and research rooms is free and open to the public. Genealogy services are available by appointment.
