GROVE CHAMBER TO HOST EGGS & ISSUES BREAKFAST
The Grove Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Pre-LegislativeSession “Eggs and Issues Breakfast” on Friday, January 18th at St.Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Grove. The Chamber invites members of the publicto come and visit with our local legislators to discuss important issues for localbusinesses and our Grove and Grand Lake community ahead of this year’s state legislativesession that begins in early February.
Donnie Crain, president of the Chamber of Commerce remarked, “Eachsession, our legislators address important issues that affect our community andour local businesses. We are honored to be working with our legislators toprovide this opportunity for our community to hear from these elected officialsand also share their thoughts and concerns ahead of this year’s session.”
Schedules permitting, State Representative Josh West and StateSenators Wayne Shaw and Michael Bergstrom will be attending.
The breakfast will be held from 8 - 9:15 am that day. Cost is only$5 to attend – and includes breakfast. Space is limited so an RSVP by Monday, January 14th is required toattend. To RSVP, call the Chamber at(918) 786-9079.
According to Crain, two additional “Eggs and Issues” Breakfastsare being planned for this year’s legislative season, with one to be held approximatelymidway through the session and the other after the session. “It is so importantthat our community and local businesses are involved and engaged in the legislativeprocess and we at the Chamber are so happy to facilitate this type of dialogue,”said Crain.
